Proper attire is required, and the establishment is only open to those 21 and over.

Billed as a "seafood and piano bar," Oscar's is one of the city's top venues for upscale singles to hang out, meet, and partake of top-quality alcohol. Not long after the work day ends, young professionals head over and hold court until late in the night. Amid chic environs, pianists add a backdrop of classic jazz and other standards, and crowds decompress from the day while munching on fried zucchini, crab legs, shrimp cocktail, and the like. Wines, cigars, and vodkas number among the specialties.

Set with a somewhat eclectic melange of tables and chairs, this place has the feel of a funky, retro dive. It's also one of Lexington's newest additions to the live music scene, bringing to town a diverse collection of bands and performers. Singer-songwriters Tim Easton, Kathleen Edwards, and Todd Snider characterize The Dame's inclinations, as do Robert Randolph and improv band Green Genes. Local talents also grace the stage regularly, and a full bar is available. If bands aren't performing, the jukebox is playing, and there's no cover.
